Quality Control Inspector

We are looking for a highly motivated and goal-oriented Quality Control Parts and Inspection Clerk to work in our Gardena, CA corporate location. The Quality Control Department is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as the QC Parts and Inspection Clerk. This is an entry level position that is unique, in that it requires an individual who is capable of performing hands on packing and shipping duties as well as being able to adapt to an office environment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to be flexible with regards to daily duties as they change often and will be able to adapt to the changing needs of the department needs.
The following describes the essential responsibilities but is not inclusive of all duties:
o Unpack new merchandise from stock or samples sent by vendors in order to inspect for quality control and packaging issues.
o Repack items to return to inventory, vendor, customer or outlet.
o Assist in performing furniture and small ticket quality inspections as needed on incoming merchandise and be able to report results of the inspection utilizing photos and detailed written description of inspection results.
o Receive stock and organize incoming part orders.
o Provide support for the Customer Relations Department and Z Gallerie Retail Stores by providing product specific information with regards to parts availability and assembly instruction questions.
o Maintain and verify the inventory counts for furniture parts by comparing them to physical counts of stocked parts then documenting results using Google Docs
o Manage incoming and outgoing inventory including but not limited to furniture and small ticket inventory that is received within the Quality Control area.
o Run daily parts reports that indicate what needs to ship, to whom, and the location of the part in the parts inventory.
o Packing and shipping parts to customers and Z Gallerie stores.
o Finalize all shipments; enter tracking and record daily transactions.
Requirements:
o Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper safety methods
o Standing for extended periods of time
o Forklift and/or pallet jack experience, a plus
o Basic knowledge of email and internet programs, Microsoft Office, a plus
o Basic knowledge of digital camera usage, preferred
o Ability to communicate clearly- verbal and written
o Detail and accuracy orientated
o Strong problem-solving skills
o Ability to work with minimal supervision
