Position Summary
The candidate will be an implementation specialist who has excellent knowledge and experience within the analytics field. This position will have a key role in supporting business analytics for a high-profile client in the automotive industry. This person must effectively work and communicate with vendors and partners while playing the role of a data collector and hygienist in support of the digital marketing channel.
Responsibilities may include:
Architect site tagging strategies for collecting web behavioral data on various digital properties.
Build comprehensive site tagging specifications or requirements, accompanied by quality assurance test plans for site tags.
Work closely in support role with various front-end development vendors to implement site analytics tagging.
Coordinate with development and design teams to effectively manage the implementation of analytics site tags.
Participate in quality assurance or user acceptance testing of analytics site tags developed by the technology teams for web, mobile, and app properties.
Ensure that data coming in and out of both in-house and 3rd party systems contain high integrity, and stays that way over the entire data lifecycle.
Partner with the analytics account managers to aggregate key business analytics measurement needs and objectives.
Troubleshoot problems and resolve issues regarding the data on a day-to-day basis.
Own all aspects of tag management services while participating in the evaluation of 3rd party tag management platforms available in the market.
Validate web reporting enhancements or changes within our web analytics tools.
Configure web analytics systems, as needed, to ensure proper data capture and organization
Recommend areas of process improvement in the analytics implementation lifecycle.
Collaborate with external consultants from our web analytics products as necessary to extend subject matter expertise.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
2 - 5 years of web metrics and/or analytics experience
Expert knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Omniture, or other web analytics reporting system
Experience with design and implementation of site tags from definition to validation
Involvement with validation of site tags using packet sniffer programs (e.g. Omnibug, Fiddler, etc.) desired
Experience as a coordinator or project manager in an IT-related role desired
Understanding of how web analytics work and function from point of data capture to data processing is a must
Knowledge of tag management systems is a plus
Experience within a business channel (e.g. marketing, business analytics, etc.) is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Knowledge of DART for Advertisers (DFA) and JavaScript are a plus
Detail-oriented
Ability to work independently
Can multi-task and quickly adapt to change in prioritiesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
