Finance Manager As the Finance Manager of Elite Engineering and affiliated entities, you will supervise and lead the company's accounting team.
An ideal Accounting Manager/Controller is a positive, hands-on, self-driven, detail-oriented, responsive person with strong problem-solving and communications skills.
Duties / Responsibilities Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close.
Oversee financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, banking, state, and federal tax requirements.
Oversee financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll, and cash flow management as well as the general ledger.
Review AR, aging reports and assist with direct reports for collections.
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of progress billings based upon specific contract terms.
Supervise payments to vendors & subcontractors and confirm lien waivers are properly collected.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
Oversee the monthly job cost report process with the owner, President, and project managers used to create and update contract schedules.
Prepare and oversee the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit.
Present recommendations to management regarding financial objectives and policies.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Coordinate tax planning throughout the year.
Prepare and file quarterly/annual compliance reports such as bank loans, sales tax, annual 1099 reports, property tax, business licenses, and other reports as necessary.
Train new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Experience:
Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller Minimum 3 years' experience using QuickBooks Enterprise Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work and deal with people at various levels and of diverse backgrounds Proactive and self-motivated; excellent organizational skills, and detail-oriented Education, Skills &
Experience:
Preferences Experience in construction industry, Real Estate or Property Development Four years' experience at a Big 4 accounting firm in an audit role, CPA Excel financial modeling experience Bilingual English/Spanish Working knowledge of SharePoint Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$75,000.
